CSLK History
Children's Library in Ekaterinoslav (name Dnepropetrovsk to 1926) were organized in the early twentieth century. They function either as independent entities or as divisions of libraries for adult readers.
In 50 years of independent children's libraries were already in all boroughs. In December 1977, the thirty-two public libraries for children mass Dnipropetrovsk city were united in a centralized system - the Central library system (CLS).
CLS now annually serves more than 70 thousand young Dnipropetrovsk, their parents, teachers. One of the fund has nearly 800 thousand units of storage (books, pamphlets, periodicals, CDs, audio cassettes, etc.).. Stable operation of children's libraries provide 106 million Dnipropetrovsk librarians.
